In 2005 a second big investment permitted to replace the old lift with a modern Funifor lift, a two ropes system completely indipendent from each other.
The new lift ensure a very good wind stability and the particular ropes training system allows the cable cars to be recovered in both the starting and arrival stations in case of breakdowns.

In cases of more serious damages, thanks to the lifts autonomy, it iis possible to use the second line to support the first one. In this case, a bridge between the two cable cars allows passengers to move from the broken to the operating one.

The Arabba Funifor system is the first in Italy to be certified under the EU regulations, came into force only in 2005. If you want to learn more about this subject, read the technical information on the Funivie.org website
