Col di Lana:
this mountain is a symbol of the combat that took place during the First World War. Parts of the well preserved trenches, entrances to the underground tunnel system and walkways are still visible today. The path is made up of 2465 metres of easy access, which is of historical significance and also gives visitors a spectacular panorama. Col di Lana is just one of several places on the World War One itinerary, it has been restored and is highly valued by the programme which initiated this restoration work (Interreg III Italia- Austria). At the top is a small church recently renovated that was erected by the ex-combatants of World War One from Livinallongo.
The "Ferrata delle Trincee" A fascinating “ferrata” (wire rope rock climb) on a difficult path that crosses the ridge of Passo Padon, it gives a beautiful panorama of the Marmolada glacier and the surrounding mountains. Visible along the way are various Austrian emplacements from the battle of the First World War. The ferrata is accessible by using the Arabba Portavescovo cable car or on foot from the Fedaia or Padon Passes.
