In Ladin "Chierz"
The hamlet of "Chierz" in Ladin, is situated at 1650 metres on the orographic left of the Cordevole, the stream that runs through the entire Fodom Valley. The village of Cherz is one of the few places where the sun never hides behind the mountains in the area. The spot is very scenic, with a view ranging from the Sella massif to the majestic Civetta, Mount Pelmo and the entire Padon area. The name Cherz also extends to the whole area behind the neighbourhood, including the woods, meadows and the present malga. Being a hamlet far from the larger centres of the valley, a church dedicated to Santa Croce was built in ancient times.
Descending along the road, on the right, you will discover the hamlet of Masarei, located on top of an old landslide, so it presents a very flat territory.
