In Ladin "Larcionei"
This small town is located in one of the most scenic spots in the valley at 1577 m above sea level, surrounded by wide green meadows and surrounded by woodland. It can be reached from the SR203 Dolomites road, located just above the village of Collaz. Given its distance from Pieve di Livinallongo, it once had its own school for the inhabitants of the hamlet and there is still a church in honour of San Silvestro, in which mass is celebrated on the day of the patron saint "Siegra de San Silvester". Inside are several works by the sculptor Ingenuino Degasper, as well as various statues and angels and an oil painting of San Silvestro by Orazio Gaigher. In the small square nearby, there is a house with the date of construction, 1613, on one of the walls, and a mural painting depicting St Florian. The "Strada de la Vëna", which links Andraz Castle with nearby Selva di Cadore, has recently been renovated, which was widely used in ancient times to transport iron from the Castle to the Fursil mines, passing through Col di Larzonei, one of the four "sub-fractions" of Larzonei, with Ruon, Aghè, and Col di Larzonei.
The nearby Collaz is a hamlet that is part of the vicinity of Larzonei, where once the roadside cantoniera house was also inhabited.
