The non-competitive cycling time trial of Passo Pordoi, brought back after several years of absence by the Arabba Fodom Tourism Association, took place on Sunday, June 25, 2023, on an idyllic weather day. The Sella Massif, in all its splendor, accompanied each participant on their challenge against the clock. From the characteristic starting ramp at an altitude of 1,602 meters above sea level, in the center of Arabba, each participant reached the 2,239 meters above sea level of Passo Pordoi. The Passo Pordoi climb is one of the most iconic and has often been a stage finish of the Giro d’Italia. Especially due to the majesty of the Dolomite landscape, it has become a must-see destination for every cycling enthusiast: 9.2 kilometers, with 33 hairpin bends and a 637-meter elevation gain. The best overall men's time was set by Alessandro Sogne: 26 minutes, 8 seconds, and 77 hundredths (average speed 20.43 km/h), while the best women's time went to Valentina Kostner: 37 minutes, 50 seconds, and 18 hundredths, making them, respectively, the King and Queen of 2023.
