September 6, 2025 – A clear and fresh September morning welcomed the participants of the Arabba – Passo Pordoi Bike & Run, a non-competitive event that combined sport, nature, and a passion for the mountains.
Framed by the spectacular Sella massif, illuminated by the morning sun, the challenge led athletes to the legendary Passo Pordoi (2,239 m), one of the most iconic climbs of the Alps. The first participant started promptly at 8:00 a.m. from Arabba (1,602 m), officially kicking off a test that brought together runners and cyclists along the 9.2 km course, featuring 643 m of elevation gain and an average gradient of 6.9%.
Cycling CategoryThe best overall men’s time (*) was set by Franz Wieser (Rodes Val Badia Raiffeisen) with 25’11”7 (average speed 21.20 km/h – pace 2:49 min/km).
In the women’s field, Valentina Kostner (ASV Rodes Gherdeina) prevailed with 40’06”1 (average speed 13.32 km/h – pace 4:30 min/km). They are thus crowned the King and Queen 2025 of the cycling category.
Running CategoryThe best overall men’s time was achieved by Mattia Baldissera with 1h07’08”9 (average speed 7.95 km/h – pace 7:32 min/km). Among women, Cristina Ceschini (US Quercia Dao) triumphed with 1h13’13”4 (average speed 7.29 km/h – pace 8:13 min/km). They are officially the King and Queen 2025 of the running category.
A celebration of sport and territory
The event once again confirmed its sporting and touristic value, combining competition, passion for the mountains, and promotion of the territory. Ideal weather conditions and flawless organization contributed to the success of the day.
