On Monday 12 October 2026, from 8:15 pm, Austrian broadcaster ServusTV airs an episode of the documentary series “Bergwelten” devoted to the Fodom Valley: “Buchenstein - Das verborgene Tal in den Dolomiten” (Fodom – The Hidden Valley of the Dolomites), produced by Albolina Film.The documentary tells the story of the area through the people who live there:
- Andrea Dorigo, an alpinist, is equipping a new climbing route at Passo Campolongo, above Arabba, when he finds a rusty ice axe left there some thirty years ago;
- Luca Palla, a Paralympic athlete from Pieve di Livinallongo (alpine skiing and cycling), trains by trail running on Col di Lana;
- Mirko Crepaz walks Col di Lana with a metal detector, searching for objects left by World War I soldiers;
- Filippo Beccari, a local mountain guide, climbs the Marmolada glacier with his wife Anna.
The film also features the Sella massif, the legend of the Delibana (played by Milly Crepaz) on Monte Pore, and the historic mine at Colle Santa Lucia.
